OUR MISSION: TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN TRAPPED IN THE CYCLE OF
GENERATIONAL POVERTY FROM A HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE: EMOTIONALLY,
SPIRITUALLY, AND PHYSICALLY.

WE WILL OFFER SERVICES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

EDUCATION: Investing in education is the single most effective way to reducing poverty. Education is more than reading, writing and arithmetic. It is one of the most important investments a country can make in it’s people and its future.

HEALTH: Inequalities in health stem from conditions of people’s lives: living conditions, work environments, age, various social factors , an individual’s response to their illness. These conditions are also shaped by political, social, and economic structures.

MICRO-ENTERPRISING INITIATIVES: Our micro-enterprising initiatives are designed to
empower individuals to transition from a life of poverty to becoming self-sustaining. Scholarships for qualified adults whose children are a part of the “TOUCHING LIVES AND ENGAGING HEARTS” project are invited to request information from our partner schools in Cartagena.

BUILDING LIVES: To help families break the cycle of poverty and become self sustaining, we give a “hand up”, not a “handout.” Equipping those we serve empowers them to thrive, not just survive.

TRANSFORMATIONAL INITIATIVES REQUIRES DEVELOPING INTERNATIONAL PARNERSHIPS AND NETWORKS:

The “Touching Lives and Engaging Hearts” project will be focused on Cartagena, Colombia, where “Bridges of Hope International” has been serving since 2007. Currently, “Bridges of Hope International has 30 partnerships/alliances throughout Latin American countries.

We will be contacting public schools and non-profit organizations that are located in underserved communities to achieve their goals and initiatives that will impact children, families, and ultimately bring community transformation. “Bridges of Hope International” recognizes the value of collaborative efforts between Latin American countries and our U.S. based non-profit organization. WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!
