BRINGING HOPE AND TOUCHING LIVES

“Bringing Hope and Touching Lives”, our 2020 fundraising campaign, will address:

1) Expanding our monthly donor base

2) Meeting the urgent needs of families living in extreme poverty. 

You, the donor, can designate the country and select the 2021 project/s you would like to support.  

FINANCIAL GOAL:  $50,000

COUNTRIES OF FOCUS:  Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, and Guatemala

Food:  Your donation of $50 will provide food for five families living in extreme poverty in Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

Vocational Training:  Empowers individuals and families to transition from a life of poverty to becoming self-sustaining through vocational training and small loans. Your gift of $300 will support one family to achieve their dream of starting their own small business. (Colombia and El Salvador) 

Healthcare: Medical, Vision, and Dental Clinics provide healthcare to the medically underserved in Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Your donations will provide medications, eyeglasses, and dental services. Outreach Clinics (4 days of direct services ) provide services for 1,500-2,000 people. Items needed: Medications ($2,500), Dental Supplies ($1,000), and Eyeglasses ($1,500). To address systemic healthcare issues, water filtration systems will be installed in homes: $50 per system. (Guatemala)

*Healthcare services in Colombia will include serving the Venezuelan refugee population. 

COVID-19 Medical Care Kits: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals are filled to capacity, and many families cannot travel to community clinics. Our Community Healthcare partner in Guatemala has identified 200 families that are in crisis and need homecare visits and medications. COVID-19 MEDICAL CARE KITS (containing medical supplies, and medications) are needed. Cost of each kit:  $35.00. (Guatemala)  

Spiritual and Emotional Support: Our goal in 2021 is to distribute 1,000 Bibles. Cost: $5.00 per Bible

Education: Through the English Language Institute, you can provide a partial scholarship for a student to enroll in English classes with the goal of obtaining employment in the hotel industry, restaurants, tourism, and call centers. Cost: $250 per student (El Salvador)

Housing: Two types of houses are built and address the specific  needs of each family:

Type # 1: House is built of treated wood and sits on posts, depending on terrain, and provides for a family of 6-8 persons. Cost: $2,500 (El Salvador, Panama, and Guatemala)

Type #2: Home is built on a concrete foundation. Concrete slabs separate living, kitchen, and sleeping areas for a family of 6-8 persons. Cost: $5,000 (Colombia)

Yes. Bridges of Hope International is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.

Do I get a receipt?
A donation receipt will be sent to you at the email address you provide on this form. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt each month when your donation is processed.
